Food glorious food

So Caleb reached 6 months and was ready to start soild food, we started with the mush most babies have to start, butternut did not go down too badly.

Occasionally other things were more interesting

Then after a trip to the health visitor and some reading on the internet we started a more baby lead eating approach which suggests that babies should feed themselves even at this young age. I still do supplement with some mush but mostly he feeds himself. He seems dead chuffed with the idea and this is his first attempt with feeding himself - bread sticks and humous (his new favourite food)
Broccoli
Rachel signing 'eating' to Caleb
Pizza
Melon

But the winner is still bread sticks with humous

Hair cut

I mentioned to gavin i thought Caleb's hair could do with a little trim - well what he and I think qualifies as a trim differs vastly!

He did not seem to mind his new hair, but his sister cried and was really upset with Daddy for cutting baby's hair.

Bonfire Night

formally known as Guy Fawkes. We went to the hill near the St Albans park to watch the fireworks. Rachel was scared she would not like the big bangs so we took Gavin's flying headset which she loved, and actually landed up taking off after a while. I think knowing she had them was what did the trick

Caleb seemed quite fascinated by the fireworks and then nodded off to sleep, not sure what all the fuss was about.

Halloween

I have not put photos on in ages ( sorry) so here are some from quite a while ago.

Dad was here in October and we went to a pumpkin festival at Willows farms, when we got home Dad and Gavin tried their hand and pumpkin carving. I think for first time carvers they did really well.

We made biscuits for our trick or treaters

Our stuff all set out

My little pink witch

Because Gavin was away i had to leave our stuff outside and take the kids around with Caleb in the pram, we just went to a few house in our neighbourhood. Rachel had such a good time and wanted to know if the next day could be halloween too
